- Hi my name is Barb Bianone and I want to say about Donna DeStefano, that woman helped saved my life and a couple other people too. My son and daughter-in-law were in bad ways and as soon as I opened up to Donna she was right on it. She helped get my daughter in law and my son get into a rehab within a couple of days. They were off the street they were in rehab and they were also in a Sober House. My daughter-in-law was successful she's been clean and sober for almost 18 months now. She is still living in a sober house, holds a job, and gets visitations with her children. My son, he's still struggling, but he's in the shelter and he's doing pretty good too, if it wasn't for Donna I don't know where I would be. You know, she brought this family back together. And we need more people out there like Donna that are working for this disease. I also ran into an old friend from school and he was struggling with the same disease and I gave him her number and today I have to say he's clean and sober. I didn't even recognize the man, so thank you Donna! She is such a blessing. I hope that she can continue her work. Many Thanks, Barbara Biancone.
- Dearest Donna, I cannot thank you enough for everything you've done to help my daughter in her moment of desperation. I am so grateful for people like you who go out of their way to assist others and find recovery help for them when they can't figure out how to get there themselves. Most people struggling with addiction and their families have no idea the first step to getting help or what resources are available to them. You do this selflessly expecting nothing in return only the gratification you get when you see the success that can be accomplished when people pull together to help those struggling with this destructive disease. I appreciate the conversations we've had and I want you to know that you have truly helped me to have a better understanding of addiction and to have more compassion and patience as my family has gone through this ordeal. I have learned so much from you. I see you continually trying to make a difference for those who are suffering, to change the stigma of opioid dependency, and create more availability of treatment for those who in need. Thank you for everything you do. DMP
- Thank u Donna for all of your help and guidance. You set my daughter up from day one and I’m happy to say she is almost 7 months drug free. if it weren’t for you she would probably be dead by now. Thank u for all of your help. R M
- Donna has been an anchor when things where going so incredible wrong in my son's life. Here I had a son that was educated, married with children and his life was being drained away by this drug addiction. The first time that he spoke or cried to me about it he said mom I have always been able to achieve whatever i have wanted in my life but I can't overcome this. It was crippling him and his wife and children. He had a major car accident and went into detox. He played the game that he was following the rules but he wasn't. Each time I thought in my head that I would lose my son to this disease I would call out to Donna and get sound advice. My son's wife managed to have the strength to tell him to get out, as he wasn't going to destroy the children. Somehow in God's goodness my son had connected to a counselor that sent him to the Betty Ford Clinic in Minnesota and he stayed there for a month and it was there that he finally learned how to manage his illness. He has lost his job maybe his marriage but there is hope as he is alive. This battle needs to be addressed and more education given to the families and all the lives that are touched by this horrible addiction. I pray that my son stays on his path to wellness and gives back to society the gift that was given to him. LIFE without drugs.Thank you Donna for all the love you have given my family and me. S P
