This story made me think of all the empowering woman throughout history who have either beaten all odds and achieved greatness through hard work, or they've fought for something or someone and wanted to make a positive change!
I'm proud to say that I have worked with many woman who have fought for what they believe in. They have brought awareness to this heroin epidemic by educating the public, sharing their stories, fighting for policy change and by reducing the stigma associated with it.
Kudos to all the woman out there who don't give up, who find solutions and who don't take no for an answer!
Although I love being a girl, wearing beautiful things, wearing make-up and never having enough shoes! What I love more is the empowerment of woman, ones I can inspire and who inspire me, ones I can learn from or they can learn from me. It's all about support and growth both personally and professionally.
I'm going to leave you with this song from Rodgers and Hammerstein's "I Enjoy Being a Girl" I have to say, I do! and I love this song, but…..BABY, WE'VE COME A LONG WAY!
